Visiting Mecca

How to get there:

There are many ways to get to Mecca, the best being by air - many flights go there such as RyanAir, Wizz Air, and Saudi Air. For budget options we recommend the first two but for a more comfortable experience Saudi Air is the best. If you want a premium experience we also recommend trying Saudi Business class with reclining chairs and dedicated screens and controllers!

The food service there is generally similar of that Economy class although their food is excellent. They even have dedicated prayer areas for Muslims to pray!

Arriving:

On Arrival assuming you land in Jeddah at King AbdulAziz airport the airport is extremely large and easy to get lost (there are people working usually nearby) you are likely once collecting baggage to head to the exit via trains built into the airport transporting you across the airport in just a few minutes!

Once you arrive and walk following the signs you will see lots of people mostly Taxi drivers we recommend for cheaper travel ordering and Uber or Careem or bolt or the local taxi's a green/blue turquoise with Taxi written across with the "X" standing out.

If you need sim cards there are terminals across the exit like:
STC
Mobily
Zain

At these coordinates 21.42084, 39.82323 enter them into maps.google.com are stores opposite the Haram! We however recommend buying e-sims beforehand like BNESim or Truely esim. As they are usually more suited to your needs and sometimes more affordable.
